Transfer Station Recycling Center RCC

All solid waste collected from Appanoose County, Seymour and Promise City is taken to the RASWC Transfer Station. Specific items such as appliances, tires, televisions and computer monitors that cannot go into the trash are also accepted for disposal here.

After arrival to the Transfer Station the waste is loaded into trailers and transported to the South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency landfill in Marion   County.

The 24-hour drop-off site makes recycling convenient for anyone’s schedule.  bring your cardboard, newspaper, magazines, office paper and tin cans to the self serve drop-off windows for easy, drive-thru recycling.

Since 1993, RASWC has recycled over 25,000 TONS of material-enough to cover the Centerville Square 11 feet deep!

The Regional Collection Center, or RCC, was established to collect household hazardous materials and some commercial or agricultural hazardous wastes.

Area residents may use this service free of charge.  Commercial and agricultural users will be charged upon evaluation of the material type and quantity for disposal.
